They announced the exciting news via an Instagram video on New Year’s Day, in which she shows off her engagement ring.
“Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrate it: OP said Y E S,” Johannes wrote, posting the video which featured Palermo, 27, flashing a smile and her engagement ring while frolicking through paradise.
Olivia and Johannes started dating back in
2008 after meeting through mutual friends.
"I think we have a very conservative connection. A very old romantic, private approach to our love," added Huebl. "We keep our private life as private as possible."
And in other exciting news, Palermo's
engagement comes just a month after her "The City" co-star Whitney
Port got engaged to her boyfriend Tim Rosenman. Not to mention fellow MTV star
Lauren Conrad also revealed her engagement to beau William Tell in Oct. 2013.
